

Now *you* can be the judge! Who do you think had the
costume at Otafest? Remember to vote for your favorite guy and gal, and help
us to crown our Mr and Miss Otafest 2008! Winners to be announced at the
Awards Ceremony!
RULES
1) This competition takes place on the Sunday (Otafest is on a long weekend!). Competitors are asked to be in costume for Sunday, and voting will only take place on the Sunday.
2) Please come to the registration desk to sign up. Please sign up either under your own gender.
3) Entrants will be asked to wear an identification number somewhere visible for Sunday while enjoying the festival.
4) Festival goers will be allowed to vote by informing
staff at the registration desk of the identification number they would like
to vote for. Voting will commence on Sunday, until 5:00pm.
5) Ballots will be counted and the male and female contestant with the most votes will be crowned Mr and Miss Otafest 2008. Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded at the awards ceremony.
6) SPECIAL NOTE - CHANGE IN RULES FROM PRIOR
YEARS: Due to
excessive campaigning and abuse of signs in prior years, this year, we are
not allowing any signs beyond standard "VOTE FOR XXX" signs, which will be
provided. We ask all participants to refrain from harassing the attendees.
This includes, but is not limited to using inappropriate signs, excessive
hounding, dragging people to the front desk, etc. Any participants found to
be harassing the attendees, as determined by the Otafest staff, will be
immediately disqualified, and depending on the severity of the action, may
be removed from the festival entirely!!
HOW TO VOTE
All attendees at Otafest will be allowed to vote once for Miss Otafest, and once for Mr Otafest, with tracking done based on registration number. We will put a mark on your wristband to track the number of times you have voted. To vote, simply ask the person who you would like to vote for, for their identification number, if it is not visible (it should be). Then, simply come to the registration desk and inform staff of your registration number, and the cosplayer’s identification number.
